Privacy and Data Protection

  • I am registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018.  Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)- Data protection register entry number: Z2576397 (renewal date March each year).

  • Mobile numbers are stored on my mobile phone. I will set up a WhatsApp/text messages page, depending on the package of support you have chosen. It is for us to relay information and ask questions, all data will be kept for a short period, in case of follow up sessions.  I will delete those numbers when we have finished our contact.

  • I restrict, secure and control all my data systems. I retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to undertake the contracts and to respond to your requests, or longer if required by law.

  • I collect personal information about you such as your full name, email address, mailing address and telephone number. 

Confidentiality

  • All information on children and families is kept securely and treated in confidence. Information will only be shared if the parents/carers give their permission or there appears to be a child protection issue. All details will be kept confidential and records are kept secure.

Safeguarding

  • All information shared will be kept confidential unless there appears to be a child protection issue, in which case I have a duty of care to report such matters to my Local Safeguarding Hub.

  • My current Multi Agency Safeguarding and Child Protection Training (March 2022) is up to date. This is updated every 3 years and I attend refresher courses every year.

  • At all times, I recommend using safe sleeping practices with your baby/child, following guidelines for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

General

  • If you feel your baby/child is sick, has or has had a temperature or is otherwise unwell in any way, Sleep training is not advised for an unwell baby/child, please seek medical attention.

  • If your baby/child is unwell on the date of our consultation, I will attempt to change your appointment to another date,

  • If your child becomes unwell, follow-on support can be paused and resumed from when your child is well again

 

Payment

  • Payment must be made before I send out a Fact Finding 72-hour Sleep Diary and Pre-questionnaire. I send this out prior to our 1-hour telephone/video conference.

  • Following our consultation, I will write an individual sleep plan, with solutions responding to your situation and to suit your family needs. The plan will be sent out to you within 48-hours of our call. Please bear in mind when booking that your plan will take 48-hours to arrive.

  • Follow-on support hours are Monday-Friday’s 8am-9pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm (midday). Please check your support package purchased for details of text and email support.  I will always try to get back to you within 2 hours. However, if I am conducting another consultation, have other work commitments or due to personal circumstances, I may not be able to get back to you until after that time. Follow-on support is conducted via WhatsApp/ text message or email. If you need to add additional calls after the 7-day follow-up support period these can be purchased at £15 for a 15-minute catch-up call.

Rescheduling

  • Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond your or my control, such as illness, I am happy to reschedule the appointment, subject to availability, within a six-week period.

 Terms of Use

  • The methods are for your personal use only and may not be shared, copied or distributed in any way, either in part or whole.

  • The information contained in the Sleep Plans are not a substitute for medical advice. Please consult a healthcare professional, GP or Health Visitor if you have any concerns about your baby/child’s health or behaviour, or any questions about whether the advice contained in the Sleep Plans is suitable for your baby/child.

  • All children are individuals and their sleep issues will be unique to them and the time taken to modify their patterns may take a couple of days, weeks or longer. What may work for one child may need adjusting for another and the time taken. So please follow the Sleep plan and you will hopefully see improvements in your child’s sleep.

  • You are paying for my advice and guidance and I take satisfaction in my working relationship with parents and hope we can come to an arrangement if you feel a particular method is not working for your child.

  • I take pride in my methods and have designed them with care to ensure they are suitable for the majority of my customers and babies/children. Methods are recommended on the basis that they are used in accordance with their terms – if you choose not to follow all or part of the information, pattern or guide contained within my methods, then the methods may not work for you.
